“An X-Rated Book: Sex and Obscenity in the Bible”

liberal propagandaThe Freedom From Religion Foundation, an atheist group, is planning to hand out in several Florida public high schools a pamphlet that features an illustration on its cover depicting a humanized Bible sexually assaulting a young woman. The pamphlet is entitled: “An X-Rated Book: Sex and Obscenity in the Bible.”

According to a news release posted on its website, FFRF plans to distribute the pamphlet, along with several other brochures and a few books, in 11 public high schools in Orange County, Florida, in January. . . .  Members of the outside groups are allowed to stay near the table and restock it as needed, but they are not allowed to have contact with students per school district rules.

( FFRF Legal Counsel Andrew) Seidel said that even if the image on the pamphlet does offend Christians, that’s a fair trade-off for how atheists feel when Bibles are passed out in school. “I think we recognize that it might upset some people, but the Bible upsets many, many non-believers, especially when it’s being pushed in the public schools,” Seidel said. “So really, all it’s doing is placing believers and people who are in the majority in the position that we in the minority have been in for a very long time, and are in every time the government espouses one religion over another. That’s what we feel like all the time.”

What an excellent example of the lost soul and diseased mind, which is given full birth in so many Liberals.

Atheist are ‘religious’ people, but their religion is grounded in hatred toward the God, which they claim ‘doesn’t exist’. If this weren’t so, they wouldn’t care if people in a free nation, handed out Bible to those wanting them. The fact is, they despise it, as they despise the God that they say isn’t there.

This is simply another attack on Christianity, but in light of the current regime under which we live, this will most likely be allowed if not endorsed, by government entities. The ACLU won’t be running to the defense of ‘offended’ Believers — which is good. God needs no one to defend Him. He’s quiet capable of seeing true justice accomplished in His time and His way.  The perfect justice would be the spiritual transformation of the dark souls who produce this propaganda.

As for “sex and obscenity” in the Bible, there is the telling of adultery, as well as murder, from the results of King David’s relationship with Bathsheba.  But there are no ‘details’.  And it can’t compare to the details in the adulterous “relationships” of the Democrat’s idol, former president Bill Clinton. In fact, I’ would imagine these Florida youth will find more exploration and “obscenity” on NBC, or any network, during the (former) ‘family hour’.

But wouldn’t it be interesting, to have adults and youth alike, actually read the Bible in search of these “obscenities”,  Who knows?  They might actually have their eyes opened and souls filled.

    An interesting bit of news. Actually, as sexualized as pop culture has encouraged young people to become, perhaps this will work as an advertisement. Ultimately, this isn’t any different from much older attempts to attack the faith. Early Christians were accused by the Romans of being sexual deviants. That persecution approach was as unsuccessful as this one will prove to be.

    Thanks for posting this, and I completely agree with you. The outspoken “atheist” in our culture today is misnamed – “anti-theist” would be more correct. “Atheist” to me describes a person without a belief in God, not a person who hates God. If you hate God, then call yourself what you are… an “Anti-Theist”.

    I wouldn’t care to read the garbage, but I wonder (and I doubt)… do the authors of this tripe bother to mention the reason behind the unsavory passages in the Bible is to educate us that God has defined moral absolutes, that these behaviors are not acceptable and will lead us to ruin, and even with these convictions of sin, God lovingly offers us redemption from that sin through His son Jesus Christ?

    Fat chance.

      Obviously they think they’re the more profoundly astute and brilliant among us, to have found such passages. They’d do themselves more good to read Revelation and ponder their doom, without Christ. None are so blind as those who refuse to see. thank you for your comment
