"The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Ecclesiastes 10:2
BELFAST, Northern Ireland — A pastor in Northern Ireland will be prosecuted with a hate crime for denouncing the Islamic religion during a Sunday sermon last year. As previously reported, James McConnell, 78, pastor of the Whitewell Metropolitan Church in North Belfast, discussed Islam during an evening sermon in May 2014. During the message, McConnell denounced the religion and said that the contrast between it and Christianity is stark.
“The God we worship and serve this evening is not Allah,” he proclaimed, according to a video of the sermon. “The Muslim god—Allah—is a heathen deity. Allah is a cruel deity. Allah is a demon deity.” McConnell then criticized the “foolish” British government for attempting to appease Muslims financially, saying that Islam is “Satanic” and “a doctrine spawned in Hell.” He also noted that Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith by the “fanatical worshipers” of Allah.
I don’t know a thing about the British or Irish laws, but I do know one of the main reason we fought against the tyrannical government of Great Britain over 2 hundred years ago, was for the freedom to worship. That naturally requires the right to speak freely, truthfully and honestly . . . if one wants to save souls. This is something not particularly appreciated by modern-day Americans and obviously still less so in Ireland, Great Britain and Europe. Not unless you are Islamic. They seem to have become another ‘protected minority’, as Liberals like to brag. . . and they of course, choose those to bestow their blessed protection upon. It also does not seem to include Christians, Jews . . or conservatives.
I must agree with what McConnell said — Islam is Satanic, since it is rooted and established in all that stands against the only true God and His Son, Jesus Christ. We in American (so far) still retain the right to speak and criticize that with which we disagree (honestly, that is only half correct. We have the “right” but punishment does ensue when what’s said “offends” a Liberal. It’s gotten so ridiculous, I’ve been looking for the clause in the Constitution, which denounces offending anyone. There is none, but that won’t stop a Liberal Judge from finding it). I do believe “freedom of speech” is something Liberalism will make unlawful, in time. Not to “offend” has become part of the Liberals ”religion’.
But in all honesty, Islam isn’t the only ‘religion’ that can be called Satanic, as all ‘religions’ stand against God.
Religion is an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or a group of gods. It was created by man, for man and he thus established his own ‘belief’ system. This is why I (not the originator) and many others state that Christianity is not a religion — but a relationship with God. Christians become, a part of God’s family . . . and why the family has always been an important example.
God has told us, through His Word, the Bible, what we are to believe — not any man. Christians simply believe and accept what Christ has done for each of us individually.
Any who are in a religion with has rules and ceremonies which must be followed or particular people who must be listened to as if they were deity, are not part of Christianity, but of a religion. Atheism is a sort of religion since it takes ‘faith’ to believe what they have concocted in their own image. Global-warming hoax is a religion for the same reason — it’s all based on man’s own ideology and self promoting lies.
But the most dangerous religions are Catholicism and Islam, who have such large memberships. Islam, of course, rejects Christ deity as well as many other ungodly claims. Catholicism does not believe or teach that Christ’s salvation is trust in Christ and Christ alone for what He’s done in our stead. Works are not and can not be involved in human salvation, since there is nothing man could ever do to be worthy of salvation. Which is exactly why God made it a gift to be received, not a work to be earned.
