Student says he was suspended after refusing to ‘stomp on Jesus’
 A Florida Atlantic University student says he was suspended from an intercultural communications class after refusing to “stomp on Jesus.” Ryan Rotela, a devout Mormon, said that his professor told the class to write the word “Jesus” on a sheet of paper, place it on the ground, then stomp on it. (According to FAU, this was an exercise from the textbook. We don’t get it, either.)

Rotela refused, telling Dr. Deandre Poole — and Poole’s supervisor — that the request was inappropriate, unprofessional and deeply offensive. Since then, he says he hasn’t been allowed to attend the class. “While at times the topics discussed may be sensitive, a university environment is a venue for such dialogue and debate,” FAU said in a statement.”     here

Another example of the brave new world that is becoming American, where “tolerance” and “open mindedness” is doing what a Liberal demands be done.

I’m not a huge supporter of law suites and the like, but this arrogant, bigoted Professor needs his comeuppances.  How dare anyone in this country, ask any student to “stomp” on a picture of Jesus the Christ?  And I wonder if he would have made such of a rude, outlandish request regarding Buddha or Mohammad?

In any case, this Professor isn’t worth a gnat’s weight in professing anything and might well need to lose his job.  I think most civilized people would take offense to his offensive demand.  We, as a free people (?), have more “tolerance” of religious beliefs than this foolish man has exhibited.

    We covered this several times as well, RP. A ridiculous event and totally avoidable, but it’s guaranteed to be repeated elsewhere.

    Just another reason to rethink our kids’ college choices, before we willingly pony-up tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege of having their beliefs insulted, values impugned and minds warped.

    How about an unbiased experiment in tolerance: let’s take an Obama logo, or the blue ‘D’ in a circle logo, print them on paper and then stomp on them until they turn back into pulp. Or how about this brave, fearless common core indoctrinator, Deandre Poole, drawing a picture of Moohamed on a piece of paper demanding it to be stomped on?
