The Tennessee Democratic Party disavowed its own U.S. Senate nominee Friday, announcing that he is “associated with a known hate group” — in this case, a conservative advocacy organization.
“Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group in Washington, D.C., and the Tennessee Democratic Party disavows his candidacy, will not do anything to promote or support him in any way, and urges Democrats to write-in a candidate of their choice in November,” the statement concluded.
The “hate group” referred to in the statement is Public Advocate USA, a group that, according to a description on its website, “has become a highly visible political organization and a model for other conservative activist groups in Washington D.C. and across the country.”
Public Advocate USA’s recent efforts include advocacy campaigns against same-sex marriage and in favor of pro-life legislation.” Read more: here
I certainly see the problem the Demo’s are having. Two words popped up that were significant clues: “conservative” and “against”. Nothing so fires up a Democrat like someone with a different opinion (that’s anathema and requires expulsion). Those gnarly people who are out of the old liberal, main stream hate groups that the Democrats are so devoted to.
Poor Mr. Clayton has found himself on the wrong of the DNC targeting range. Before we know it, Sen. Harry Reid might receive another anonymous phone call from some anonymous person, who says he knew Mr. Clayton way back when and has secret information to disclose. Mark Clayton might even find out what it’s like to be a real conservative, if the SEIU or some other Democrat supporting big Union thugs show up at his residents with picket signs and GLAAD members smooching and screaming insults at his family.
Who knows! Before the Democrats are finished with Mark, he might have to switch parties to get away from all the ‘open-minded’, tolerance going on within the DNC.
